The Dakota County SWCD is hosting a landowner interest meeting to discuss the formation of a Prescribed Burn Association (PBA) on Wednesday, March 4^th at 6:00 PM at the Dakota County Extension Building in Farmington. PBAs are grassroots organizations where members share knowledge, labor, and equipment to implement prescribed fires. Presenting at the meeting will be Jason Andersen from Pheasants Forever who will give an overview of the PBA model and how it may support landowners/residents in Dakota County seeking to integrate fire into their land management practices.
